Hello, everyone!

I’m Dr. Darren Burke, and I’m excited to share some incredible news with you. As a serial entrepreneur, I’ve always been passionate about tackling pressing global challenges, and today, I’m thrilled to introduce you to “Future Foods.”

In the United States, food waste has reached alarming levels, with a staggering 30-40% of the food supply ending up in landfills. Not only is this an economic loss, but it also significantly contributes to greenhouse gas emissions. This is where “Future Foods” steps in.

Our mission is simple but groundbreaking: we’re here to combat food waste and reduce emissions in the food supply chain. It’s high time for a change, and we’re here to make it happen.

We’re working closely with local farms to address the issue of cosmetically rejected crops. These perfectly good fruits and vegetables, often discarded due to minor imperfections, will now find a new purpose as sustainable and delicious fermented snacks.

The statistics are eye-opening. Each year, the U.S. wastes an estimated 80 billion pounds of food, with a value of approximately $161 billion. Food waste alone is responsible for a significant 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions, and the food supply chain accounts for roughly 26% of all greenhouse gas emissions. By reducing food waste, we’re actively contributing to global efforts to combat climate change.

But our commitment doesn’t end there. “Future Foods” is deeply invested in the global initiative for food security, as outlined in COP28. Food insecurity affects millions worldwide, and we aim to make a difference. Our model includes placing autonomous fermentation micro factories in farming regions where interest and need converge.

I couldn’t be more excited to lead this venture. By transforming rejected crops into high-quality food products, we’re not only reducing food waste but also making a significant contribution to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The launch of “Future Foods” is a giant leap toward a more sustainable and food-secure future.

This represents a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to combat food waste, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and address global food insecurity. We’re driven by innovation and a strong commitment to sustainability, and “Future Foods” is ready to make a meaningful impact on the world.

Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this incredible journey. Together, we’re shaping a brighter and more sustainable future, one delicious bite at a time.

With enthusiasm and hope,
Dr. Darren Burke
